I brought my cat here for the first time recently and had a great experience. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and got me in an exam room within five minutes of arriving. Dr. Katila was so gentle with my kitty and took the time to let the cat get to know her before starting to examine her. She was incredibly thorough in both her exam and explanation of what she advised for care that day and at home. I went to Calabasas Animal Clinic with my 10 year old kitty cat who, I must admit is a terror. She really doesn't like people and I was so nervous to take her to the vet's office. Imagine my surprise when Dr Katila just pulled her out of her crate and held her and pet her and did a full exam! No hissing, no scratching! Amazing! I think she is the Cat Whisperer! Calabasas Clinic is under new management and I can't imagine a better group to take it over than Dr. Tyneway and her team!! All of my dogs over the years have been cared for by Dr. Tyneway, who is so knowledgeable, caring, and thorough, as well as her incredible staff, for the past 15 years and I have never had a concern or complaint. Extremely impressed with the compassionate care I received for my dog Jeannie who had a broken toe. Dr. Katila was very kind and caring in treating my precious pup and provided all the information that I needed and her crew could not have been more helpful and on the ball. My dog had surgery at Calabasas Animal Clinic two weeks ago. I can't say enough good things about the staff. Everyone there is so friendly and knowledgeable, and they were very patient with me whenever I called in with questions during my dog's recovery. They explained everything thoroughly, were great with my dog and very sensitive to his needs, called to check on him the day after his surgery, and didn't make me feel silly for bringing him in when I thought one of his incisions looked bad even though it was fine. i just found out that Dr. Studnicka is now working in Calabasas. I am really happy to find her again. Last July, my 2 big watchdogs got out of their pen before i was able to put my mostly blind, arthritic old collie-mix in his night pen. They jumped on him before i could blink. The result was a torn to shreds little guy with an ear hanging off and he was ripped open in 3 places. He was in shock when i got him to Dr. Studnicka. We are new members of the clinic's family. I chose the term "family" with care, because from the second we arrived, we felt welcome and our extremely cranky, very sick, elderly dog was at ease and acted like a happy puppy around the office. Even though the office is often bustling, we always feel well attended, and our dog's health and well being are paramount. 5 stars as of June 2017. Dr Tyneway has taken ownership of Calabasas Animal Clinic and that is awesome news. Dr Tyneway has been my holistic veterinarian for many years and my dogs and I love her, her staff, and the wonderful care given. With the addition of Calabasas Animal Clinic, we are fortunate to have a full service pet clinic and hospital next door to the best holistic animal clinic around. Calabasas Animal Clinic, under its new ownership, is once again my veterinary clinic of choice. Yahoo!
