This vet is great! My dog is never sick, but we had him checked for worms recently as another dog in the house had them. They sent me my test results within a day and all was well. The vet was also really knowledgeable about canine nutrition, and was happy to chat with me for a long time about how to make balanced, nutrient-dense homemade meals.
This is a wonderful place. They diagnosed a large mass that my pug had in his spleen. The spleen had to be removed for fear that it would rupture. I met Dr. Ram and he immediately put me at ease. He performed the surgery right away and all went well. The mass turned out to be benign. I am grateful to Dr. Ram and his staff because I truly believe that he saved the dog's life.
This is a follow-up post, now that we have been to this clinic many times. We are very satisfied with Calabasas Animal Clinic. The only concern we had in our previous review was the wait times, and it has not happened again. We have been in a LOT lately, and someone has always been at the front desk, ready to help. This place is wonderful. They have been very attentive and nice every time I've come here. Would highly recommend them. Clean and friendly and never make me feel uncomfortable for any reason.
I'm very pleased with the good Doctor Fowler, and the people who work here. They answered my questions about treatment (and how much it would cost, which I found reasonable) and gave excellent, sympathetic care to my pets on three occasions when they were sick or injured (life-threatening on two instances). Okay, so you know how when you take your pet to a new vet both you and your pet get anxiety? Yeah, well I got it here too and when I met my new vet that anxiety went away, at least for me. If you are someone that needs and loves information to help you make your decision a more educated one, look for Dr. Ash. I was worried they would milk my love for my dog to get me to buy expensive treatment and exams, but he gave me the gist of it in a manner I could understand, like a good professor. Have been bringing my dogs here for vet and boarding for a couple of years. The staff and Doc's are fantastic, and more importantly my dog runs towards the door instead of away from it, every time we visit.
This place was amazing, they have a wide variety of items for sale, and they took good care of my dog
I have been coming here since 1990, this is my 4th dog Everyone here is loving, kind and gentle, when I had to put down my dog, they were patient and so understand. I recommend highly.
