The doctor seemed rushed and was terse, and then was extremely rude to the nurse/assistant. That's not great at any time, but in an exam room in front of a patient? Yikes. To top it off their billing department screwed up and sorting out their mess is taking up tons of my time.
I had a great first appointment at California Skin Institute with Dr. Goldman and his team. From start to finish, the experience was smooth and professional. Dr. Goldman was knowledgeable, attentive, and took the time to address all my questions thoroughly. The staff was welcoming, efficient, and made me feel comfortable right away. I truly appreciate the care and attention I received—looking forward to continuing my care here!
This is not a California Skin Institute. Did not feel heard or seen as a patient. Expressed my concerns and was just given a list of steroids and chemicals to use but no real breakdown from the doctor. When I had questions regarding my known reactions to some treatments and wanting to start more conservatively and cautiously I wasn’t heard or given an explanation of best treatments. I had something removed. The whole thing was done in an hour. Should have been less but I can get kind of chatty. No shower for a day. Honestly I don’t have a problem with that. Dr. Gutmark and the nurse were efficient and the girl at the desk was scheduling me for my next procedure. So once approved I will he good to go.
I came in for the simplest of procedures. Took 10 minutes. Dr. Goldman seemed overworked and too busy to answer two of my questions after the procedure. He was walking out the door as he was answering my questions. Doc, I’m sure you ARE busy. I’m sure you ARE overworked. Just slow down a minute and make your patients feel like you care. And If you are overworked, cut down your workload a little my friend, we all know you can afford it.
