Dr. Gutmark was nice, but the reception staff members were not professional at all. When I first called to make my appointment, they verified my insurance while I was on the phone waiting. They gave me an ok and said that they take my insurance and that I will only need to pay the regular co-pay. Well. When I got there, it took them another while to find my insurance information. I got Dr. Annie Nguyen as my first dermatologist. To be honest, I wasn't sure about it in the beginning since I didn't see many reviews about her online but I was very lucky to get such a nice doctor. She is very gentle and I can feel she cares about my concerns very much. I was there for some rashes on my different body parts and she took a close look on each one and prescribed me two creams. They have changed their name and moved offices and are now back to normal and take my insurance again, whew! Staff are fast and efficient and Dr. Elizabeth Gutmark is great. I have always had a good experience with this team of health care professionals.

I was here in July of this year. I needed a simple refill of my acne medication (spironolactone), but they INSISTED I make an in-person visit (not tele health) even though I live almost an hour away. I just got here, and they told me they don't accept my insurance now?! Would've been nice to know beforehand. You shouldn't force your patients to come in for unnecessary visits during a pandemic anyways! Shame on you!

I came here a few years ago for a skin condition, it wasn't until finding another doctor did I find out what it was. Here the doctor, Rachel Cayce, barely glanced at it, "prescribed" me a body wash that was like $40 and tried to up-sell me on a separate product too. It seriously felt like she was barely qualified to be an assistant, let alone an MD. I am writing this review a few months later than I planned to, as I wanted to make sure I had time to do a proper write-up of the very positive first-time experience I had with Dr. Gutmark. She is a doctor of great integrity and willing to go the extra mile for her patients. I certainly intend to see her again for any future dermatological issues. Great experience with DTLA Dermatology! They make every effort to see patients on time! Dr. Elizabeth Gutmark is amazing!!! My incision was precise and flawless!!! I would highly recommend this group!

I've really struggled with this office. I had to get lab work drawn before starting on a medication. After waiting for a script to be called in over 2 weeks after I got the labs done I had to call multiple times to get the medication called in. Fast forward 6 months, I had to return for a follow up and get a new prescription. They called in the script quick but there was a problem with the dosage. My first visit to this doctor was a positive experience- I felt she had great bedside manner and attention to detail. But this second time around was very frustrating. I was there for my appointment on time. I had scheduled it for my lunch break as I was told by the receptionist that it would only take about 30 mins.
