The underwriters assistant (in my humble opinion) went too far when he asked for a copy of my step daughters apartment lease when he learned that I stay with her when I travel to NJ. It screamed we don’t trust you buddy. For this reason only the process was not what I would call stellar. Everyone else gets two thumbs up.

We had awful appraisal values from one of the Big lenders twice. In a clutch I decided to go local and asked Carla and team to try and meet a 2 week deadline to close. They treated us like we were their only client between the open communication and electronic docs being created and passed, all were accurate the first time sent. Thank you to all Carla for hitting such tight deadline and getting us into our wonderful home!

Carla kept us abreast of all aspects of the mortgage process. She let us know who was on the team, who would be contacting us next and what the next steps would entail. She also gave advice on where and who we might contact regarding insurance agencies and repair /handyman services. Then at the closing she assisted in explaining details of what we were signing and how it referred to BankSouth. During the process, which was stressful to us, Carla was cheerful and uflappable.
