WE HAVE USED TONY WITH CARPET & FLOOR EXPRESS FOR A COUPLE OF JOBS IN OUR HOUSE AND WE LOVE HIS WORK. HE HAS NEVER FAILED AS FAR AS PRICE AND QUALITY.
Spoke with Tony then visited the store. Explained my idea for tiles. After giving him the size of kitchen and wash roomc, Toney explained that using the particular tile was not cost effective. Gave me suggestions and then samples to take home to match my wooden floors. About 3 weeks later Tony called to check on my decision. Told him i had some furniture that i had to move before i could schedule. He reassured me that i should not worry about trying to move furniture. I have a carpet that needs to be installed. Even though their listing says they provide installation services, they refused to provide installation unless you buy the carpet from them. Could it be they are marking up the carpet cost to cover the installation? Otherwise, why would they refuse to take the job? In any case, they should not be advertising installation on Angie's list if they refuse to provide this service.

If you had taken your time to ask me why we do not install the carpet that is not sold by us then maybe you would not jump to conclusions and write reports that make no sense. I first contacted the company by phone on/around May 14, 2014. I spoke to Tony, and I explained our situation (water damage in basement, replacing carpeting, insurance coverage). We scheduled one of his employees to come to our home on Friday, May 16. His employee was punctual and relatively professional. He took his measurements and showed me some carpet samples. in response to your review, I would like to add that at the time of original contact you asked for an in house estimate emphasizing to see very good quality samples, there was never a mention of you just needing an estimate for your insurance purposes or coming to the store later. There are four noticeable seams in the carpet including one down the middle of the room. It looks terrible, and their response was, "This is thin carpet." I wish they would have told us this from the beginning. This is the carpet that they suggested we use. We wouldn't recommend anyone to hire them.
