This place is BEYOND awesome! I was looking to be a cowboy for a day and darn tootin' they had everything I needed to fulfill my Texas dream! At the recommendation of my cousin, we popped down to the outlets to check this place out since it was more than likely I'd get a better deal than the more traditional retail stores. Just popped in looking for some boots - I am not a boot guy because they simply don't fit me well. Thought I would give Cavender's a shot because I would love to find a pair. Didn't find anything but the customer service was incredible. Two different guys helped me and were very informative about my options. They were helpful but not pushy or overbearing.

I may be the San Antonio girl but it was my husband who "had" to get cowboy boots. He's had it in his head that it was a necessity and his life would be incomplete without a pair. Originally he wanted a pair of Lucchese boots (again, San Antonio - represent!) but as much as I love them, my wallet just cannot quite afford such luxuries. Enter Cavender... Fabulous customer service! Being new to TX, I felt obligated to get me a pair of cowgirl boots. That being said, I know absolutely NOTHING about them. My husband and I were totally clueless. In comes Erin. She was absolutely wonderful, with the patience of a saint. Being from NY, I'm not very educated in the style of Country. However, visiting TX, you must leave with one of three things: a Cowboy Hat, Cowboy Boots, or a nice big belt buckle. My family recommended Cavender's with no hesitation. When I first walked in, it was a blast of country straight to the face. Staff was ok...one guy asked if we needed help and we did need a boot from the top shelf. I told him my size and he got a larger size because they didn't have my size. He gave me one and then walked away that was it. Weird...my husband put it back for me because it was too big. They do have a good selection of boots it was hit/miss with service though. Clothes are expensive but it's a speciality store so that's expected.
Great selection! The staff is always friendly and ready to help out lost customers...I mean in the sense that the selection is soooo Vast that it's easy to get lost when selecting a new pair of boots!! Prices & Availability: Fair & Moderate for Quality boots. The best part about this store is the inventory. At other stores I'll find the one pair of boots on Sale that I love and then find out that they don't have them in stock....but not here! This was my first visit inside of a Cavender's of any kind and location, and I left pleasantly pleased. I spent a good 45 minutes going perusing Stetson hats and Lucchesse boots. Very good customer service, very clear instructions on what to do in order to make my Lucchesse order a custom one. Although I was traveling at the time, I would certainly return to this location once again. I highly recommend salesman Scott C.
