The place has a great selection of boots but the staff and the cashiers were the least friendliest people I have experienced. We bought boots for my wife and son and the ladies in the back were busy stocking in the women's boots section and not very helpful. We stood around and had to think hard about asking them for help and when we did we got the feeling as if we were bothering them. The cashier was even worse. Not a friendly experience.
I have bought my boots, my hats (4) from Cavender's for years. I make a special trip to do this when I am visiting family. Heck, my profile pic is with one of their hats. 5 stars for products but a strong 1 star for service. It is getting progressively harder to give these folks my money. I visited the San Marcos location just a few days before Christmas and their customer service was absolutely horrible. Personally, I would not have shopped this store but my fiancé asked for boots for Christmas. I could not get anyone to assist me but could not help but notice white customers 40+ yrs or older were getting exceptional service. Went to buy my daughter boots and no one was helping us, they were just following us, but yet the white customers were being helped, we are Mexican, we try to buy from local businesses, I guess cavenders doesn't want our business, hate to use racial card, but that's what it felt like
