SLOWEST service ever...45 minutes is totally ridiculous, especially with a 2 year old in our party. Our group of 9 (incl 2 yr old) ordered salads, soup, sandwiches, pasta & one steak. When asked what was taking so long; was told everything was coming...they were busy. Not totally accurate. There was maybe 8-10 other tables at the time & it appeared almost all of them ordered the buffet. Manager spoke to us around 1:15 claiming the waiter didn't know why we were upset. The food was excellent and our waitress was outstanding.
We heard they had a new executive chef, so we thought we'd try it. It was a very good meal and the prime rib and steak were excellent. The brownie dessert was definitely enough for two, so thanks to our server to suggesting only one! The GM and the Chef both stopped by to check on us and how we enjoyed our meal. That was thoughtful. We love Charbonos! It is our favorite local spot to take out-of-town guests and to celebrate special occasions. The kitchen is willing to make accommodations to their dishes. This is especially important to a picky eater like me.
The food is always good at Charbonos. We were surprised and pleased to discover an "early bird" menu from 4 - 6 pm with regular items at value prices.
Terrific food. Where else can you get sweet corn jalapeño mashed potatoes? i haven't seen that anywhere else.
Charbono's was pretty good. I think some of their menu items are hit or miss. Maybe their menu is too large, vast and ambitious. I'd rather see them knock off 4 or 5 options and focus on making the rest of them amazing. There are some great things on the menu and the kitchen is clearly driven by a chef that's creative and talented.
Great place to eat in our own neighborhood, and reasonable pricing. We go there often to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, or a nice quiet New Year's! Always cozy and comfortable atmosphere.
I had a wonderful experience at Charbonos. The food and service was excellent. I highly recommend this place to everyone. I will definitely go back.
