Just ate at the Chelsea 5 Gastropub at the Tropicana Chelsea in AC on Sat. evening which was only their second night opened. My wife and I can describe it in one word AWESOME ! From our wonderful server Fabio to the seating at the window looking out at the ocean to the delectable menu and drinks what a fabulous time we experienced here. I'm afraid if we keep raving we will have a hard time getting a reservation in the near future, but I had to write this review. Made a reservation at 8:45PM just to be told the kitchen was closing upon seating us. I think they shouldn’t offer reservations that late if they are shutting the kitchen down at that time. The food was mid at best. No flavor or seasoning on any of our dishes. The only highlights were the tamarind sauce for the calamari and the creamed spinach and artichokes. Everything else was bland. Our service was extremely slow and our waitress was very sweet but was either ver inexperienced or just didn’t care. It took over 15 minutes for her to show up at the table and then another long period before she took our order. We were there 2 hrs. Most of that time was waiting on her to return. We asked for salt and pepper and I finally found some on a neighbor’s table. I had recommend this restaurant to friends and thank goodness the food was good. Service unacceptable.

Inside is very dated. Menu is average. Food is okay. It's just a very mediocre unmemorable experience. Nothing astoundingly bad but nothing to write home about. It's convenient for a meal if you're at the Tropicana but there are absolutely better options in the hotel.

Clams on the half shell only got 4 small ones and stuffed shrimp same only 4 small ones.

Went as a special treat while in AC. My guest and I ordered the filet mignon, one medium rare and one medium both which were way over cooked when they arrived at the table we sent back and about 1/2 later received another steak one was fine but the other was raw. My guest finally changed her order to stuffed shrimp and it was very good. Over all the meal took over an hour and 20 minutes to be delivered. Will never go back. Waitress was very kind

Our reservation was for 4 at 6:00pm on Saturday evening. We arrived about 10 minutes early but were seated. We placed our dinner orders plus appetizer, calamari, and 4 waters. They were very busy but at 6:40pm we noticed some of the empty tables had guest come in 25 minutes or so after we were seated and orders placed. They were being served their food and they had ordered the same items 2 people in our party had ordered. On Sunday, my party dined at your establishment for the three-course prime rib dinner. While the appetizers, including the homemade Caesar dressing and lobster bisque (after an initial mix-up with clam chowder, promptly corrected), were excellent, we encountered issues with the main course.
