LOVE Chester's. The atmosphere is good and the food is always incredible. 4 stars instead of 5 for two reasons - 1) the seating is too crammed. Tables are right up next to each other, and 2) they almost always tell you it'll be 2-3 hours for a wait and it ends up being 45 min to an hour. It's just really hard to eat there not knowing if you should show up one or three hours early.

Great environment, helpful and hardworking staff. Food was great and the beer selection provided wide variety. The atmosphere is really cool -- wood, metal lots of great grounding here. Everybody behind the bar was helpful and attentive; even when a "fresh" margarita was sent back as "too tart" the bartender quickly replaced it without question. Was visiting the area and found ourselves here twice for dinner. Great atmosphere and the food was excellent. Try the smoked trout dip.

Chester's was good. Real good. The Maple Bacon Old Fashioned... this should be outlawed. Actually hard alcohol in Blue Ridge is outlawed but they slipped this one past the officials and I'm damn glad they did. The sticky ribs were off the charts. One of the guys in our party said they were the best ribs he's ever had. I'm from Louisiana so I can't go that far but I was not disappointed. The shrimp and grits. Holy crap. Wow. Cool concept / venue. They do not accept reservations. However, while you wait for a table ( approximately an hour) You can go upstairs to have some cocktails. They will text you once the table is ready. There was 4 of us in our party. The pretzel appetizer was incredible!!! Our party loved the ribs & wings a lot! Service was great. The only downside for me was the veggie burger but, that is because I am extremely picky.

A bit of a wait but it is peak tourist season around here. The drinks were very good but the food was sublime between the load fries and pimento cheese appetizers I was half way full before the mains even arrived. They weee short staffed like everywhere around here lately but our waiter was prompt made sure we had everything we wanted and checked in from time to time to refill waters.

Popped into Chester B's on a whim at 4:30pm on a Wednesday. We were a party of 4 with 2 highchairs, but were seated very quickly. The atmosphere was similar to Ted's Montana grill, but more fun and approachable. Overall the food was excellent, although the service was a little slow. We were not in a rush however, and Chester Brunnenmeyer's is definitely the best restaurant we have eaten at on Main Street. We will be back.
