Revision: In regards to our food, the menu's prices were increased by a few dollars on the bill based upon menu prices. We ordered the two sandwiches and soup. The food was good and better than we remembered from our prior visit to this restaurant. The actual cost of the shot of "Top Shelf Bourbon" which my husband ordered was on the same menu as the food...NO price for this shot was listed on the menu itself. I would give 0 stars if it were an option!! I sat at the bar with a friend. The bartender took our drink order and got his drink order wrong. She fixed it without hesitation as she should have. We ordered our food and He also placed a Togo order. We both ordered the prime rib sandwich to eat there. The food took longer than it should have to arrive and not all of it did. Owner is a douche. Had a line full of patrons patiently waiting for them to open. No one pulling on the door or knocking. Everyone patiently waiting. Upon opening the owner comes out and gives a condescending tone and speech to all his future customers to be patient and he cooks his food to order and everyone will be seated when they come in until full like no one has ever been to a restaurant before. Couldn't even sit there, they told me there was an 3 hours waiting, but it was 7 o clock and restaurants closes at 9:00
The food was great however, beware of this bill scam. They have going on. First they don't tell you about the cash incentive so they charge you more if you don't pay cash. We only found out after our bill arrived. A warning would be nice but it just goes to show deceptive business practices. Also, they charge an excise tax? No one else in Blue Ridge charges this and we didn't realize it until after our 2nd day in town. Hey Christina! Your review is simply incorrect, with the exception of the great food….that part is correct. The cash discount incentive is posted inside the restaurant and on the menu. The 3% excise tax is indeed a city mandated tax on alcohol sales. Feel free to look it up in the city code of ordinances if you have questions. We can’t control what other businesses do, but we are doing what the city of blue ridge requires. This was probably the worst dining experience we've had in years. However, I will caveat this by saying we did not get the opportunity to taste the food. When we arrived they gave us the choice of waiting 20 minutes for a table or sitting at the "full service bar". So we chose to eat at the bar. At the bar, we were quickly served our drinks and an appetizer 15 or 20 minutes later. However, no one ever took our food order even after we asked our server to do so. Service was the worst. Waited almost 10 minutes to get a server. Waited another's 30 minutes after we ordered to get her to come back and explain why our food was not out when people that came after us were receiving their food. Asked to see the manager who was some guy from the kitchen to tell me they were extremely busy and what can I tell you. Rude unprofessional and just the worst. We left without being served
food below average. and the credit card scam. auto add on 4% fir CC and if you pay cash they don't tell you unless you actually read your bill. nothing like it was when it first opened. stay away from.
