Review. Traveling with my husband and kids so we were very busy during the day. All 3 nights the noise level outside our room by the Sunset pool was so loud that it would wake us. The first night I called the front desk at 130 am and it took over 20 minutes for someone to answer. She says she wound sent security. I didn’t call the last 2 nights because I don’t want to be that person but I thought that security would have kept an eye on things. The last night the large crowd was there until 230 am. Gorgeous facility Overall we were very happy with the place. Everyone was so friendly and willing to help. Our only complaint is that there was no refrigerator or microwave in room. Eating out got very expensive and would have been nice to bring leftovers to the room for the next day.
Annual trip We take an annual trip to Phoenix to celebrate our daughters bday & our anniversary. The Fairmont never disappoints! We stayed in one of the older casitas, near the smaller pool. Our only issue was the pool was dirty- it had stormed the night before & there was trash and debris in the water. We ended up cleaning the pool out ourselves.
Not for solo travel I would recommend this place for families for sure. Maybe couples too depending on what you like. However, solo trip I would not. Spa is great; wouldn't recommend a pedicure but the staff are nice. Restaurants are hit or miss for me personally. The upgrade to the casita suite wasn't worth it in my opinion but I wanted to check in early and it's what they had. The place is quite spread out, so hope you like to walk.
