This was my fifth visit...It was Feb 14, but early and not overwhelmingly busy. The service was top-notch...never been disappointed with that any of my visits. Our steak was waaaaay undercooked...which was remedied with a trip back to the kitchen. Everything that we ordered was way under-seasoned...from the steak, to the chowder, and even the creamed corn. I expected more from a high end steak house. I ordered the rib eye and my husband ordered the bone in tenderloin. We ordered medium, seared on the outside, pink all the way thru. They came out VERY rare. After a bite we both sent them back. The steaks came with carmelized onion rings on top. They simply thru the steak back on the grill with the onion rings so they were burnt when the steak was brought back to us. The service was horrible with the waiter that was waiting on us . He didn't come to our table for twenty mins I finally flaged down another waiter . When they brought our food out he left the plates and didn't bring any silverware , I had to ask the waiter for the table next to us . Thanks to that guy or else I was have lost it . I will never go again
I had been to Churchill's once before, the food and the service was exemplary, which is why I choose to go there to celebrate a special occasion with a dear friend. I was surprised one of the first things the waiter said to us was "I assume you have never been here before..." Just what does that mean? The cost of the food was not parallel with the quality in my opinion.
We were seated well over 30 minutes late for a 6:30 reservation. We weren’t the only ones either. There were at least three other couples that were as late as well. They sent us all to the bar so we got to discuss the situation together. No explanation or apology was ever given. The manager only took the time to talk to one couple who was upset enough to warrant his attention. Service was inattentive and SLOW. Had to request the waiter for water and drink refills. 9/20/2012 My wife and I decided to go to Churchill's for our 3 year anniversary. It ended up a big mistake. First off it took our 30 something blonde waitress over 10 minutes to come up and ask us what we wanted to drink. I ordered and old fashioned (only reason for second star) and my wife a glass of wine. It took over 10 more minutes to get our drink, and by that time we were ready to order. Prices are highest we have ever seen in Spokane. Food is terrific, but I am not sure it is worth the expense.
Made reservations for 7:30. Arrived at 7:20, punctuality is important, was told our table would be ready in 5 to 10 minutes. Understanding that this would seat us around the time of our reservation we had no issue. There was no where to wait so we ventured to the bar down stairs. We were not seated until 8:10.
