Beautiful setting, nice staff... Food was way over seasoned, not cooked correctly (underdone) sloppy presentation and tough low quality steaks. I've had better steaks at Outback! Never going here again!!
Just be careful when ordering your steak as they broil it and the outside can and will be burnt. Nasty!!
This is the second time we had gone to Churchills. We were celebrating my daughter's 21st b-day. it was a busy night, we sitted at a table near the door which was not very pleasurable. Our waitress seemed to be busy doing other things except providing service. We had to ask her a few times for more water and drinks. Generally, good food but nothing spectacular. Like most over/priced eateries, it sells elegance and, like most, it charges way too much for that impression. If you want to have a good meal, you can have it here, but if you want to get value for your money, go to the Steamplant, few blocks from there. Bottom line: pompous but not justified for its snobbery. Most people I know don't spend several hundred dollars for a bottle of wine they could buy for a fraction of that price. Very over priced for a dry over cooked steak. Service was not adequate for a 4 star restaurant.
Food was good, however portions were a bit small. We walked in with our 2 year old and immediately felt like second class citizens. It was obvious that they do not like children there. It also took a very long time to get our food and our bill.
I've been disappointed my last 3 times here. This time the server was great, but the food coming out was beyond slow. They weren't super busy, so I don't know what the deal was. We waited so long and I was so hungry-- that I didn't send my $62 bone-in tenderloin back for being severely over cooked. I asked for medium rare and got a medium well steak. We returned because our last experience was so good but this time our waiter ruined it for us. He was loud and borderline rude with short quips and bad attempt at sarcastic humor. He took to another table of 4 and stood at their table telling stories so loud everyone else had to listen !! My husbands steak was very good my steak was tough and overdone. The wine list is grossly overpriced but a good list. If you can buy in the store for $30 plan on paying triple! Better value for you money in Spokane!
Average chop house with a Chicago price tag. Steaks were excellent. Salads and sides marginal. Desserts above average. Wine list lacking. Server was pleasant but not very professional. Not a bad dinner, but overall not even close to worth the expense. Skip dinner and have a bar burger during happy hour.
