Wife and I sat on a long bench with others...not our own table..waiter left our drinks empty on several ocassions. Steak was filled with gristles..wife had to send hers back as her medium well steak was still bloody. Waiter was snobby but hostess was sweet and parking very easy.
Poor service with descent food, nothing impressive
We love to dine out. We enjoy fine dining and don't mind spending the extra money in pursuit of a stellar dining experience. Churchill's should have been all that fine dining is about. Apparently not. We were disappointed in the seating, the service, the ambiance, and even the food. It was an anniversary celebration and we had asked for a nice table. Either Churchill's doesn't have any nice two-tops, or we just got a bad one. Our server frequently forgot about us - she definitely forgot about our side dish which showed up mi... read more
I've made 2 reservations this week at Churchill's, one for a client dinner and one for an appreciation dinner for an employee and his wife that has done an excellent job this year in his position. Upstairs is a very formal atmosphere and for both meals I want the more relaxed feel of the Bar downstairs. I noted that in both reservations. When I got there they told me they don't take reservations downstairs. The funny thing was that I met my clients downstairs in the bar, I saw the only empty table had a "reserved" sign on it... read more
As a person who has eaten plenty of steak, I can say that the steak at Churchill's was very disappointing. First off, it was overcooked for a medium rare steak, to the point the meat felt gritty (from being overcooked). Second, it tasted nothing like a dry aged steak should (rich intense flavor). Service was subpar, ok, but they forgot to get me a steak knife so I waited while the steak continued to cook on my plate. Eventually they did bring a steak knife.
We don't mind mind paying outrageous prices if the food and service is amazing. This was not the case at Churchill's. Totally over priced...luke warm food...steaks were not tender as we had hoped.
Unfortunately we were seated so that our table was in direct line with the kitchen door. That door opened every few seconds to bright light and scurrying staff. Almost all of the wait staff hurried past our table laden with trays. The service was OK, but nothing special. Our waiter was very loud and did not come off as professional. We would not return.
We were (3 of us) really looking forward to dinner at Churchill's as we had never been there. We were seated immediately and then waited 6-7 minutes for someone to come over for a drink order and pour us water. Then we waited another 7-8 minutes for our drinks; no bread, just waiting for two drinks. They were out of the steak we ordered so they replaced it with another and we said that was fine. We waited about 10 minutes to be served; it was good but nothing great, not after all the hype we heard about them. Service was med... read more
Definitely over priced. We have eaten the same quality of food and drink for less elsewhere.
