I'm writing this more for a FYI for the Yelping community for the following: I took my daughter's beloved kitten Millie to CCC for spaying. This girl was in heat constantly and the "symptoms" were non-stop. The vet agreed and said that she should be done asap and we scheduled her for a couple of days out. Millie did get spayed and life was once again pleasant and pain free for her...for six months. Then, out of no where, it started. The cries, that meow, the sticking of one's butt in the air, and that growl. I thought... read more
They're definitely still in business, and have been our beasties' vet for many years. It's nice having a vet that's cats-only. It's stressful enough having to take the little goblins to the vet at all, but to take them where there are loud, excitable dogs, triceratops, monkeys, llamas, etc., makes it that much more stressful for cat and guardian. The quality of care is pretty good, though I think they could sometimes be better at communicating. We had one have to get surgery on his ear, and they told us he had to wear on... read more
Our cats were originally patients at Linda Mar but then they opened this 2nd location strictly for cats. It's a great place, same great doctors, staff and service as Linda Mar but pretty much just for cats. The doctors are excellent with our 2 cats, including our more spazy one who is scared of everything. BTW: we come from Glen Park to have our cats' seen.
Will be updating review after an official office visit but I just want to put this out there for people who want to try this place. In my opinion from everyone else's happiness of this place they seem like an awesome place to get care for your kitty. But I'm really upset with their cancellation fees and other fees as well. In a time where we are in a recession in a way of forcing a $70 cancellation fee is outrageous. Because I was unable to take 2 kitties for a check up they racked up a $140 cancellation fee and I understand... read more
Terrible and very expensive. We waited forever. No thank you. Coastal Cat Clinic? Really? I don't think so!
On one of the rare occasions this place was actually open for business, I had to cancel an appointment due to illness. I called the night before, and canceled. they began calling and harassing me to pay an $85 cancellation fee, which I refused. Now they are after $100. The amount of time they spend calling me and writing me letters and harassing me they could be caring for animals. I'm without options - I have to pay the $100 but want to warn others of this horrible policy. stay away!!
I'm extremely disappointed that this place has gone downhill so fast. My family has been taking our precious felines here since 1999. But due to my aging father trying to clarify some issues with their "New" electronic prescription and communication system they decided to ban him on what I believe are false accusations. Let me explain this thoroughly. Their automated system is so bad that it lost a prescription and the only number to reach a person was the front desk number. When an elderly individual who has a hard ti... read more
I have to amend my previous glowing review of this practice. While Dr Glahn may still be a good vet, her office has some serious problems. I had taken my mortally I'll cat here last July and missed the follow up appointment a few days later due to her death. Although deeply upset, I had managed to attempt to leave a voice mail after hours, only to find the mailbox full. I also emailed them. When I later came back with a new fur baby, several months later, they told me I owed $30. for a "missed appointment " . They then said ... read more
I have been taking my cats there for over 30 yrs, I remember when they started and Linda made house calls, after 30 yrs of never haveing a problem and always having excellent care for the my cat especially my cat is a little Hellion only when he has to go to the vets, like most animals they are scared, well I took my cat in for a visit and they know that my cat will scratch or bite if you try and get him out of his carrier it even says it on his file, so wouldn't that tell you to proceed with caution and use proper safety eq... read more
