Terrible customer service all around by front desk staff (34th street) and doctors. No patience with kids. We will be going elsewhere.
Literally on the verge of switching doctors. This place is awful!!! Their customer service is awful the girls at the front are rude and have forgotten about me on hold on one too many occasions. How hard is it to answer simple questions? It's very disappointing to me ESPECIALLY because I am in customer service myself and I realize the importance of treating people in a nice respectful manner. You don't tell someone you'll be back in a "second" and leave them on hold with no update for 15 minutes.

I have given this incompetent office multiple opportunities to change my mind about their lack of customer service and lack of consideration for their patients. On several visits i have been made to wait over an hour only to be sent to a second waiting room where the waiting continues. On a recent visit with my sick toddler, i was told by a provider that a temperature of 100 degrees was NOT considered a fever. Now unless i missed some update along the course of having children, wasn't a fever considered anything above 98.4?... read more

Thank you Ana for addressing some of your concerns. It is important for us to understand the needs of our patients and their parents. We would be more than happy to discuss your concerns regarding when to worry about your child's temperature, and when it becomes a fever. We also can help you understand the process for determining if your child should be referred to a speech therapist or questions about the process to diagnose autism. If you would like to schedule a visit to discuss your concerns, we would be willing to h... read more
Javier tries once again to deflect blame. I will talk to him. And I will remind him of every detail of the moment he decided his ego was more important than the pain he was inflicting on a child. Because I don't want her name out there, I will speak to him offline. But I will post his response. I'm sure once he hears her name and the name of the Surgeon he sent us to for strabismus surgery, which was useless because it wasn't the muscles in her eyes, it was a brain tumor described by her neurosurgeon as the size of a man's ... read more

Dear Maria H., Our deepest condolences for the loss of your child. We are deeply saddened and no family should suffer such a tragedy. Our office and I are committed to our patient's care, so feedback like yours is taken very seriously. Can you please contact us so we can investigate this further? I have not done a spinal tap in decades and we do not have a record, nor does our staff recall a patient fitting the description in your post. Thank you, Dr. Javier Bustamante.
To anyone that reads yelp reviews this one is for you....before you spend half your day researching for a new pediatric office for your children let me assure you that this practice is not worthy of your time or your sweet bundles of joy. I am a mother of five boys and one little girl, four of my children are adopted. They have been with me for more than 8 years. Today we made an appointment at this facility to get everyone up to date on their shots and I was proactive, i filled all my new patient paperwork at home so t... read more
Every time my son has gotten sick, I've walked in or called and they have always sent me away saying they don't have appointments available... I don't schedule my son's illness!!! The Dr we loved there is no longer there. I called because my newborn is ill, they had me on hold for 13 min and when it became 12pm I was high up on. I called again and only the operator answered saying they were out to lunch and I could leave a message. Uuuggghhh! Not going there anymore and don't recommend them. The only good thing is Dr B... read more
Only come to this office if you have a where from an hour to an hour and a half to wait. I have been coming to his office for many years and it's always been this way. What really upsets me is that if u are more than 15 mins late they will charge you a 25.00 no show fee and not see you. I guess only there time is valuable!
We have been here numerous times and have only seen Dr. Bustamante once. Not happy with him. It's a different doctor every time we visited. My child had really bad pink eye on both eyes, and I had to convince the doctor, one that I have not seen before of course, to prescribe eye drops for my child.
So sad because it's right near our home but my wife and I felt like we were treated like we just ordered a Chalupa at Taco Bell. You have to "request" to meet the doctor? What's that about? Is this another doctor who spent too much time in school and now doesn't want to work or retire early? The place it too big, billing is still off on our bills, and the fact that we felt like we were in some shoddy communist country getting inferior government help is the reason why we are leaving. My kids are not Chalupas. ;o)
