For the most part everything went fine. I'm more disappointed in the appraisal process than anything. I had to find my own comps, which should never be the case. I was also disappointed in the fact when it came time to sign closing documents, we were told we would have 2 months of not paying our mortgage only to find out that wasn't the case. Instead of July 1 start date, the closing documents had June 1.

We did a refinance and home equity loan through Cody. His lack of communication was a huge problem. He’d say he was going to call or email, and then we’d never hear from him. He wouldn’t answer my emails for days, if at all. He was even unprofessional enough to complain to me on the phone about a Facebook post I put on my own page about our horrible experience with him, which a "friend" sent to him. Seriously?!?! The process took 2.5 months, and the only thing I’m glad about is that it’s over!

We were told not to pay our January mortgage payment because we had started early enough we would have the refinancing completed before it’s past due date. Delays in underwriting and information gathering nearly caused a late payment because the process was not going to be completed in time. At the time of closing we were informed we could not write a check for more than $3,000 and would have to execute a money wire transfer. I would have expected this understanding to be imparted to us sooner

Was given a pre approval letter saying we could buy our house without contingency and AFTER we had an accepted offer Cody claimed we had to sell our house by a certain date. As closing approached Cody misled the title company saying everything had the green light to close when in fact it did not and we had to sign the closing papers twice 6 days apart. We also wanted to lock in a rate early but were told we had to wait until 14 days of closing which isn't true and cost us thousands.
