In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Sam, our server, was delightful. She truly seemed to enjoy what she was doing and made excellent recommendations. We had the parmesan kettle cooked potato chips. They were delicious and crunchy. Everyone in our group ordered something different. Each item was great. We shared the apple cream pie and bread pudding. The only negative was we couldn't eat it all, but that just meant we had leftovers to look forward to in our doggie bags.

Went in a month ago. Had Zac as out waiter he was wonderful. Knew his menu, was very helpful with substituting sides. Was very nice, made us laugh. Our food was amazing. He was nice about getting us extras for the burgers. Will for sure go back.

Always a good meal at any Black Bear Dinner! This is our first time in the Idaho Falls one as it just opened. Same quality food across their entire chain! Big portions, great taste, and a bargain for what you get! Highly recommend them to anybody! One of our favorite restaurants in Saint George, Utah. Have eaten in them in a few other states too and they can't be beat.
