In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. RecommendedI really enjoy they atmosphere and booths but most of all they have ICEBERG lettuce and the VERY BEST RANCH BACON DRESSING. So tired of tough Romaine lettuce st so many other restaurants!

Many positive changes have brought great improvement to this location. Timely greeting, service and meal delivery has raised my opinion for this restaurant. The decor is to be expected and the servings are fantastic ! I would personally recommend dining here often and when it's busy, (such as on Mothers' Day) the wait to be seated has always been within 10 minutes max.
