In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. RecommendedThe food at the Black Bear Diner on 5600 W in West Valley City, Utah is our (me and my wife) new GO TO place for good food. They actually managed to do something that I have never been able to do, even as good a cook as I am... get my wife to describe her meal as... EXCELLENT. It is amazing at how well their staff manage to handle the "chaotic Ballet" that is the kitchen/server area. I HIGHLY recommend their burgers!

Interesting experience. Food good. But having a thorn bush hanging into the handicap parking space kinda wrecks the after dining experience.

Wow, this place is awesome! It’s definitely going to be my go to breakfast restaurant for sure! Amazing food, and great service! Our server Shye (not sure how to spell her name but whatever) was super friendly and nice and went out of her way to make sure we had all we wanted and all we needed! Absolutely 10 out of 10!
We always love going. We are regulars at the Murrieta location and now that we will be moving to Cottonwood that location will be our Go To Place. Everyone is so nice and welcoming. We just went in for desert to celebrate the acceptance of our off on our dream home. Chelsea’s was so nice and really interested in our happiness. Live Black 🐻 bear
