I called the night before Thanksgiving at 7:30pm after spending 2 months dealing with 2 local equipment suppliers whose business practices are shady at best, and fraudulent at worst. I purchased a CPAP machine from CPAP.com. They had a banner which said "Checking on financing rates would not affect you credit rating!" I set up financing through "Bread" and my credit score dropped 7 points over night. The reason a hard credit check from "Bread". CPAP.com claimed what "Bread" does is on them. "Bread" said if I look in the disclaimer that they can do a hard credit check.
