Food was dry and very poorly seasoned. Did I eat it? I did. Being edible is the lowest of bars however. The gravy was poorly seasoned. The fried steak looked like it comes in frozen. Eggs, not a speck of salt. Biscuits dense. Hash browns without seasoning. The Corn Muffins (4) lacked flavor for which the butter or honey provided could not help to flavor or hydrate them.
Meatloaf was dry. No gravy with it. Mac and cheese dry as well.
We did a pickup order. No utensils were included and the food quantity and quality seemed much less than if you dined in.
I've been to cracker barrel in Arkansas where the south knows how to cook comfort food and that's why I like the cracker barrel the biscuits was in a bag instead of with gravy on them like they order was supposed to be. my meatloaf was mediocre and the dumplings where strips of dough not a dumpling.
The last time I had the fried chicken, it was amazing! It was moist you could've cut it with a spoon. I think I ordered a couple weeks ago when I ordered it last night it was tough stringy, and I couldn't even bite through it. I was super bummed.
Our entrees were good, but the sides were not. Green beans were obviously canned and cooked to the point of being mush. Mashed potatoes were very gummy in texture.Cinnamon apples were bland. TheBiscuit Beignets were good.
This is what 9$ will get you folks- I've ordered this twice before and this piece is half the size and looks like someone split it in half to make it look bigger. It's a great dess - if you can get the serving size and not looking like it was plated by an angry person.
I always order the Strawberry-Stuffed Cheesecake Pancakes because my fiancé loved them. Today the cheesecake filling literally tasted like mayonnaise when I tried it and there was too much of it. The sausage and eggs literally never taste good, like the sausage have been sitting there all day not fresh at all and the eggs are never fluffy they're flat like as thin as a tortilla and super cold. The biscuits were hard as a rock! The staff did a very poor job to send those out the way they did. Very disappointed!
