Honestly, I really wish I could give a better review. Most of the people we have worked with at Dalton have been very polite and they always come out to work on our systems. They installed our grandmothers system so we decided to go with them as well. Unfortunately we paid for a new heat pump system (A/C/Furnace Combo) and since it's been installed they've had to come out 5 or 6 times now. the first four times were because settings were improperly configured on the circuit board of the furnace unit. This goes back several years now, but we contracted them to install a fireplace in our remodel. Upfront everything went great. We met to plan out the install, specifically we discussed that we were spray foaming the roof deck and discussed clearance needed for the vent piping relative to the roof deck. After the install was done there was no clearance to the roof deck even though we had talked about it. Had them come out to look at my water softener (just a $400 Morton softener) that wasn't cycling; I suspected it was clogged somewhere because water was sitting in tank. After about 30 minutes, the tech told me that it would be $1,100 to fix it! What??? I couldn't believe it!! He hadn't even touched it yet except to see if there was a salt bridge. It is the middle of August and now Dalton wants to set up a time for air conditioning service. I really think that this service should be done early preseason of air conditioning. Disappointed!
I have been ripped off by Dalton's. They replaced the capacitor on my AC, a $60 part. It took 10 minutes to replace. They charged me $600. The service manager could not explain why they charged $600 for a 10 minute job and a $60 part. Be leery of Dalton's. They wanted to replace a part on my fireplace last winter. Charge would have been $600 but I got it done for $200 by a fireplace store. Dalton's prices are very very high.
Show up when you promise to and when you do show up and charge $680.00 make sure the work is correctly done
