Having suffered an injury I reviewed my options and after an MRI and consultation with Dr Salazar I agreed the best step was surgery. The entire process with Dr. Salazar was thorough, well explained in simple understandable terms and as described. The surgery was administered quickly after my MRI and the recovery process was as it was stated. The Loyola team during pre and post op were terrific and after 6 weeks of recovery I was able to begin therapy. During the 6 weeks I had very little pain or need for meds and felt that ... read more

Dr. Salazar did my shoulder replacement and it came out really really good. I didn't have lots of pain!. Everything went great, I'm now doing all my chores like before, after a few months. I strongly recommend Dr. Dane H. Salazar.

Summer of '25 brought a proximal humerus fracture on one arm and torn subscapularis on the other - one of the less common rotator cuff tears. The ER physician would have done reverse shoulder replacements for both. Thank God I was able to get to Dr. Salazar, who assured me the fracture would heal and have better range of motion than with a replacement. It has. In September, I underwent surgery for the rotator cuff tear, and am now fully healed, with great range of motion, just working a little longer on strengthening. Dr. Sa... read more

For the past 2 months, Dr. Salazar has been consulting with me throughout my elbow's healing process. He was clear, efficient, and demonstrated his knowledge. I thought it was super cool. He always took the time to go over my X-rays with me and carefully explained what exactly we were looking at. I was put into a splint for about 2 and a half weeks, and no surgery was needed, thank God. After the splint was removed, I was recommended a brace and continued with rehab for 4 more weeks. Today was my last appointment, and everyt... read more

I needed total replacement of both of my shoulders. I had heard about the failures and horrible stories so I opted for injections which long- term didn't work. I kept putting surgery off. When I met Dr Salazar my fears were addressed with knowledge and compassion. He seemed like the exact Dr. for me. My first surgery was 'perfection'. Pain was minimal and the results were unbelievable. My strength and range of motion have never been better. It's been 3 months and once again I have had surgery; this time the other shoulder wi... read more

Unlike most surgeons I have seen, Dr. Salazar both talks to his patient and listens to his patient. He revised my shoulder replacement and the day after surgery I was in less pain than I had been for nearly 8 years since I shattered my shoulder.

Down to earth, understanding the patient's concerns and addressing the procedure and recovery time, skilled surgery and am in process of a total recovery after a severe rotator cuff complete tear. Followups appointments, progress reports, whether in office or by patient portal showed his overall concerns of my progress in the healing process. He always has time to talk with you about your concerns and answer questions about the next steps in you healing process/therapy and when he feels you are back to normal. My utmost than... read more

Dr. Salazar fixed my right shoulder 3 years ago. Now it was time for the right shoulder. He was so helpful and kind once again. He explained the procedure and did a great job fixing the right shoulder. I truly appreciated him praying with me before surgery to calm my fears and reassure everything will be fine. Shoulder issues…just call his office and you know you are in great hands!

Having met Dr. Salazar before surgery, he explained everything that was to occur before, during and after. Surgery in my estimation was a complete success. Scarring was minimal, mobility is fantastic and no real pain of any. Follow up appointments are very professional, his staff is outstanding. I would recommend DR. Salazar to anyone requiring shoulder surgery.
