Dr. Birk is amazing at what he does! I have been to so many “specialists” that dismissed my complaints but he was the only one that took the time to thoroughly investigate and was able to find a cause to my condition because he is so knowledgeable. Highly recommend getting a consultation with Dr. Birk.

Dr. Birk spent over an hour with me and answered every question. He used a large screen TV to show me my MRI and explain everything in a way I could understand. While I was there he called my primary doctor and pain doctor personally. At the end of the visit, he wrote down his cell phone number for me. I must say that this was the best experience I have had with a doctor.
Dr. Birk was well prepared for all my and my wife's questions. He explained the risks, surgery, recovery and medications I may need. After the surgery he was there to explain what had transpired and that the surgery was a great success and I should see improvement almost immediately. Dr.Dan is very honest and knowledgeable. Explains course of treatment. Doesnt rush to cut you open or treat you like an assembly line patient. I definitely recommend him!
When i first met Dr.Birk, i knew this was the Doctor for me. He was understanding of my problem, we went over my MRI together on the screen. Unlike many other Doctors, he speaks with you not at you and you know right then that this Doctor is kind and knows what he is doing. I went to Dr. Birk after 2 other surgeons said they couldn't help me. He immediately identified the problem and cured me with an outpatient surgery. That would be enough but he also has a wonderful bedside manner and I can always reach him. Thank you Dr. Birk!
I want to thank Dr. Daniel M. Birk from NSPC Brain & Spine Surgery for doing an amazing job caring and operating on my husband!! My husband had an emergency micro discsectomy this weekend. We could not be more grateful and thankful for this man's gifted hands and ability to help heal. Excellent Doctor!!!!! Dr Birk is a great surgeon and a humble person. Caring and compassionate, with excellent bedside manners and attention to detail. He called with the results of my x-rays over the weekend because he knows pain does not take off on weekends, and he promptly answered my questions over the next few days.
