1st time visiting a Dave's Hot Chicken here at this location. I've only had it at Vegas before and it was decent. Located at a corner of a big street. Parking was okay. There is a lot behind the building. Alot of homeless around. Shop inside looked clean and decent. Food overall, very blah. My food had two hairs. But besides that the taste was good prior to finding the hairs. They also forgot my shake. Ordered through door dash.

The location is good, right behind a parking lot in the middle of downtown San Leandro. The cashier that helped us was so rude. Just a terrible attitude, we had to repeat ourselves multiple times and she still charged us wrong. I wouldn't return because of that experience alone. Other than that, the food came out pretty quick and some of the other employees seemed nice. Dont order from yelp. Order pick up online from website. Grubhub charges extra to place orders through yelp.

Is it just me or service has been lacking??? Workers in this location take hours upon hours to make a simple chicken . They forget to put pickles & container of Dave's sauce in the bag ‍. San Leandro location have lazy teenagers

The food is good and worth going back for but this place is also unorganized and the staff needs more training... I was told my food would take 10-15 minutes but I ended up waiting for 30 minutes it wasn't until I asked for my money back that my food came out. If you don't order ahead of time just understand you might be sitting for a while...

Tenders are definitely good. The fries are not good, they appeared to be bought from a vendor, frozen and then heated up. No flavor whatsoever. The milkshakes come out of a machine, they need to add more chocolate. A very basic selection of sodas. Like every restaurant these days they are understaffed. I ordered the #3 but received a #1. This should not happen.

Yah really disappointing. Got in there at opening time, so they were not busy. Ordered the number 2, a couple sliders, fries. Ordered the slaw and Mac and Cheese. Took way too long to get our food, chicken was way too salty, slaw was average and the Mac was just like Kraft Mac n cheese. It was cheap enough, but will be awhile before we try it again.

All hype to be honest... We've tried Dave's before in L.A. but since it wasn't available to us here in the Bay yet, we have our go to spicy chicken sandwich spot in Downtown Oakland but with everyone raving about this new location opening we figured we'd give it a try now that it's available on DoorDash and was definitely disappointed.
