TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Food is good but it seems like they hired The Riddler to design their sauce packets because they're impossible to open.

I ordered the #4 combo, which is one slider with crinkle fries ($10.49). This was soooo filling and delicious, no need to order a whole chicken sandwich. The menu is simple, I almost ordered chicken tenders to have minimal carbs, but they come with two pieces of chicken, so I got the single Slider combo (there is a double Slider option). Went with my friend today, we were really looking forward to it. I only had it once before, and was looking to see how it was at this location. I ordered the #3 and my friend got the one that came with 2 sliders. The food was made fresh, and was seasoned perfectly to how we requested. They give you different levels of spice you can choose from, which is really helpful depending on the mood you're in. We went with hot, and that was a pretty accurate name for it. Love this place each time! It does take some time for them to prep your meal since it's customizable to a certain extent. As any place the busier they are the longer your wait might be, but all within reason.
