TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Wasn't impressed. The food was OK, and the service was good and friendly. It just didn't live up to all the hype I ordered mild and it was right on the verge of being too spicy for me, but admittedly I have a low level of heat tolerance. It took a little longer than expected to get our meal, but everything is made to order, so I didn't have a problem with that. The place is small so eating in wasn't a great experience. Not sure I'd go back, but if I do, I'll order ahead for pickup.
Food good hands down and Ambiance . Service is "Alright" don't know how they handle orders. But I ordered a simple #4 easy but "2 customers" that arrived prior to me placing my order, Received their orders before me. Mind you I'm on my Lunch. Not trying to spend my whole lunch in Dave's waiting for my food. Pace definitely needs to be a lot quicker especially on the weekends. I was internet to see what this was about, as I know Nashville chicken has continued to get popular... I got medium. It wasn't very hot (I know I know "duh") Fries were good Chicken pretty good Sauce just ok White bread under the strips is random Service...everyone really nice Place clean Not memorable, prob wouldn't go back
I heard there was a Dave's Hot Chicken location that's opening up in Long Beach and I rushed there once I found out it's opened! It's located on 2nd st, so parking was terrible, you can park at the lot behind the restaurant but it's metered. The inside had a really nice ambiance, I really like the graffiti style murals throughout the restaurant, it reflects the city well.
