TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I'd been meaning to try Dave's Hot Chicken the last couple times I was in LA, but never got the chance. I happened to be in Novato, came across this location, and jumped at the chance! First off, the gentleman at the counter was very friendly and helpful. I told him I have a pretty high spicy tolerance, and asked him if I'd be ok with the "hot" spiciness level. A different take on fried chicken! Loved Dave's sauce which goes great with fries or chicken. Friendly and quick service. Will be back!
Nice change from other national fast food. The food is flavored well and the service is faster than you would expect. I definitely will recommend and return.
We've been here twice in the last month or so and already love it. The chicken is juicy and delicious. Seasoned to perfection and I love the spicy scale! Fries are also really good and seasoned. M&m shake was pretty good too. Food is a bit slow to come out but definitely worth the wait. Staff is friendly and the decoration of the restaurant itself is fun and place is clean.
Since I was a Dave's hot chicken virgin, decided to start small with a hot chicken tender. I thought it was delicious, especially with the added packet of Dave's sauce. I will go up the heat scale next try, as I really like spicy. Order came with a slice of wonder bread and some sliced pickles. Service friendly, and ambiance light and bright!
First time having Dave's and I'm certainly not disappointed, it's a great atmosphere and even better food. If you live in the area it is a must have.
