The chicken tenders can either be a hit or a miss -- juicy & tender or dry & semi-tender. The amount of batter used is good. Nice crisps. I love the smoked paprika seasoning concept, but I personally find it a bit overwhelming. Which explains why their sauce really compliments along with it. Their sauce though. *french kisses/* Delicious! We ordered their medium spice, IMO, not spicy at all. (Please note that we have a higher tolerance for spicy food.) Good service and plenty of parking space~

So I gave up meat for lent and my friend asked if I wanted food from here. I laughed and said "ok sure except I'm not eating meat right now" she said "that's ok because this is a cauliflower slider" I couldn't BELIEVE that a fried chicken place would have a veggie option so I said "GET IT". I wasn't expecting a lot but it was soo good! The sandwich had such a great crunch to it. No soggy bread, or breaded cauliflower. The sandwich was so good! The fries are just ok. Nice huge, juicy chicken tenders but the spice, at Medium, was too overpowering. I don't mean too hot, just too much paprika for me. I'll come back and try a notch lower and hope my fingers don't get stained red. The fries, pickles and their house sauce were also good. I didn't eat any of the bread slices. Counter service is friendly. The place is very clean with plenty of seating.

Dave's Hot Chicken is a chain that is welcome addition that serves solid hot chicken sandwiches. With more fried chicken sandwich places opening up, I am glad there now are more options in Marin! While Dave's doesn't do anything unique or spectacular to the fried chicken sandwich, I was not complaining. First time trying Dave's Hot Chicken and I'm glad I picked this location! The woman working the register was nice and helpful in explaining the spice levels - I went with medium since she said mild is not spicy at all. Medium spicy tasted barely spicy to me but very flavorful and juicy regardless. I think I will try Hot next time. I ordered the tenders with fries and a small vanilla milk shake. Dave's hot chicken is what I would consider the best place to go in Novato if you're looking for an amazing meal and something that is affordable yet worth every dollar too! The guy who is behind the counter, or the girl is always kind and very receptive and a good listener, as I am somebody who does like to talk lol. Go check it out if you have it and if you're a big In-N-Out fan that's right next-door and they're both equally amazing companies.

Although I really love bone-in fried chicken, my daughter insisted I try Dave's for lunch. Well, I wasn't disappointed - and I'll tell you next time my wife and I will split a single order since you can ask for different spice levels for each piece!
