TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

The hot chicken is good and the price is fair. It somehow has a little bit of sweetness in the spicy taste. I personally like Hattie B's more, but it is a good place to go if you're craving Nashville hot chicken in Cali.
My partner and I have eaten here twice since they opened and their sliders are pretty good! Tender, juicy chicken, crispy fries and extra pickles with each order. The first time we had it, we went a bit safe because we never had Dave's before and wasn't sure how hot each level was. Like most glowing recommendations of chain restaurants (which Dave's has), the reviews are rave and when you get there, the food may seem unique, but it tastes as sterile as the stainless steel counters and FRP walls. Dave's is exactly that, really not much different than Popeye's, KFC or CFA. What is unique is unique about Dave's is the dry rub. Not impressed. Dry over cooked chicken left under a heat lamp not very enticing. Dip it in some sauce. Make it at least a little moist.
Dave has the most juiciest chicken breasts in town! Hip ambiance and excellent service. I was with a friend and stayed past closing time and America got us to leave in the nicest way possible!
Very friendly service, and the chicken sliders are awesome and spicy fries could be cooked longer 30 sec but good meal. Will be back

Well they did the damned thing! Wow wow wow. This is chicken at its best. Tender, juicy chicken breast with aggressively seasoned coating that sticks to the chicken.
