TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Dave, you evil, evil dude. Yo chicken is HOT! Dave's is a pretty cool spot with some hot chicken. Menu options are pretty straightforward. I got the #3, which is a tender, a sandwich, and fries. I ordered mine hot cause I like the spice. The presentation of the food is decent; all your goodies come in a basket with a side of sauce. The chicken appears to be fried, sauced, and then shaken down with some dry spices, and let me tell you, hot means hot. Definitely hot chicken!!! We stopped here for dinner after seeing the wonderful Insta pics from local foodies. The menu is fairly simple, with a handful of choices plus pick your heat level. We got the #2 combo, which was 2 sliders w/ fries. Even though they are called sliders, I'd say they are bigger than a typical slider, but smaller than a sandwich. Great food, good flavor and juicy crunchy chicken! Had a problem with our order and Chris went above and beyond to make it right. Cant recommend this place more you GOTTA try it!
