TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Yum! I don't usually like dry rub on my chicken but this stuff is so tasty! I got the tenders with medium spice which was perfect for me, and I dipped them in the Dave's sauce. I loved it! I also got the Mac and cheese which was creamy and delicious. Will definitely be back.

Pleasantly surprised! If you're a fan of spicy fried chicken, this is a great quick option. The spice is no joke and the rub is really tasty. I like a fair amount of spice and mild was plenty for me, but it's nice you have options to add more or less. I got the single chicken tender that came with pickles, a slice of white bread and dipping sauce. My husband tried the sandwich and we enjoyed both. Dave, you evil, evil dude. Yo chicken is HOT! Dave's is a pretty cool spot with some hot chicken. Menu options are pretty straightforward. I got the #3, which is a tender, a sandwich, and fries. I ordered mine hot cause I like the spice. The presentation of the food is decent; all your goodies come in a basket with a side of sauce. The chicken appears to be fried, sauced, and then shaken down with some dry spices, and let me tell you, hot means hot.
