No matter which location we go to, it's always a 5-star experience!! We've been to one in Florida, one in DC, and the two new locations in Virginia. The most recent one was this one near short-pump and as always the food is hot, delicious, abundant, and the staff is friendly. The artwork is always so interesting and the store itself is so clean!

I was exited to try this place I saw a lot of hype around it on TikTok and their spectacular reviews on google. For me, it was a no, sorry Dave's chicken I personally think it is way too pigmented for my taste, Fries are very good and fresh

Fresh fried chicken and fries well seasoned and made to order. Modern hip vibe decor with neon lights, and painted graffiti walls. My best advice is DO NOT go over the heat level of HOT first time around so you can enjoy the full experience of flavors and textures of your meal, after that HELL'S the limit for HEAT and PAIN, the wife and I got one REAPER tender and took ONE bite before our meals BIG MISTAKE as it took 15-20 min for our souls to come back into our body's. DAMN YOU DAVE!!

We popped in for lunch, our first visit to Dave's. Cadaisha gave us a warm and welcoming greeting. She thoroughly reviewed to menu and shared her personal preferences and explained the levels of heat we could order for our chicken. The slider was awesome, the slaw and Dave sauce put this sandwich over the top. You need to give this place a try, you will be happy you did I.

Finally good hot chicken in richmond. Seems like the bad reviews are because of wait time but those kinks have been figured out. Super popular chicken spot nationwide and I'm glad richmond was lucky enough to get one! Fun and trendy atmosphere.

Dave's is a solid chain, love that one came into town. It's a new and popular spot, so you will probably wait. I expected this being a SoCal transplant where waiting in line for hot chicken is totally normal. Seems like many people leaving reviews don't understand the cultural hype of it. It's a new spot with new staff, be kind and patient. Or go somewhere else for flavorless chicken. Food is good, but be prepared for an hour wait for your meal. From what I could see, the staff in the front were very inefficient. Overall ambiance and food were great, but I don't think I will come back anytime soon unless I have a 2 hour availability in my schedule.

My husband finally caved in and decided to give this a place a try after taking my son to the Barnes and Nobel across the street from here. I honestly have never heard of this place but I'm glad that the hubby pulled the trigger and got us to try this! Had a great experience at Dave's Hot Chicken! It was my first time ever and the front-of-house staff were incredibly kind and knowledgeable.The options were pretty standard but I enjoyed that there were different heat levels that I could choose from.
