The appointment felt very rushed, the consultant didn't even let my daughter come out of the dressing room, there was no standing in front of the mirror or anything. This was our first experience wedding dress shopping and I guess we need to be a little more aggressive.
Made an appointment online for today only to find out when I showed up at David's bridal they were closed. There was a hand written sign stating the power was out and it was closed until further notice. I could not find anything posted online about this closing nor did I receive a phone call to cancel my appointment.
So far the only enjoyable experience I've had is actually finding and purchasing the dress. First I was told my belt had come in (by the rudest lady imaginable), and I had no choice but to come within three days to pick up the belt, even though I was still waiting for the dress. When I get there to pick up the belt and explain to the manager what happened, she was irritated to hear that whoever I spoke to didn't say I could have it shipped to my home for free! The first time we visited this location should have been our first clue about how this store would treat us. We were ignored and stood around looking for my sisters wedding dress. We left, and someone only spoke to us as we were walking out the door. We made an appointment for her, which was very nice service. However when we returned to buy my bridesmaid dress, we took a couple off the rack, asked if we could try them on and were told we needed to have a salesperson help us and we could not try them on by ourselves. Wow!!! On to the next place please Cookie cutter dresses, bored out of my life, tried on dress that no one in our party liked and couldn't get the stylist to listen because she was busy trying to talk shit about the brides mother in the dressing room instead of letting her help pick her daughters dress Some staff were nice other not to friendly but still NO dress Not a fun environment at all like other shops we've been to. One opinion counted and it wasn't the brides or the brides party!!
I went into David's Bridal (the Harbison location) earlier today, with my mother, to pick up my bridesmaid dress for my friend's wedding. Even after trying on a size 10 about a month earlier in the store, which fit perfectly, the woman who helped me ordered me a size 12 because, "the ones we try on here are all stretched out, so a 12 will fit you well." I had a great experience when i originally went in to pick out a dress. I had a girl helping me who was very nice her name was courtney at the davids bridal in mesquite. I loved that experience with her. However when i payed for my dress another associate took over in which i was asked how was i paying??
