If I could leave negative stars, specifically for alterations, I would. I bought my dress at the Flint location, but came to Madison Heights for alterations as its slightly more convenient to get to during the week. I ONLY scheduled with Davids figuring it wouldnt be a giant hassle if I needed fabric since they sold the dress. Man was I wrong. Pro tip.. do NOT go to David's Bridal for your dress needs or alterations, especially the one in Madison Heights. They'll charge for things and not do them or fuck up the dress. I paid more then what my dress was worth to have it altered and the only thing they got right was the straps. They made the bodice of the dress so tight they could barely zip it up and when they did it felt like if i moved the wrong way it would rip. CANT CHANGE RECOMMENDATION, I don’t recommend this location. Loved the selection of dresses- however had a VERY NEGATIVE experience with Maya the stylist. She wasn’t very helpful, didn’t make suggestions, didn’t measure me, and didn’t even see if the dress fit me or not. The stylist didn’t even fluff my train until I asked, and didn’t seem happy (see pic for body language). She bummed me out, even when I’m in the dress of my dreams. Awful experience. We were with Paula at the Madison Heights location and she made comments about weight like "heavy bridesmaids" and obviously looked at myself and another individual. She was rude and unattentive throughout the entire time. She did not listen to our requests and we were stuck to one small dressing room despite there being multiple open (regardless of covid guidelines). Bought my wedding dress here after being told they could definitely add off shoulder sleeves and a train to it. Went in to have it altered and was told they could not do these things after I had already paid for it. Fast forward to the day before my wedding. One of my bridesmaids had dropped her dress off a month before this. She went to pick her dress up and they hadn’t even touched it. No alterations had been done. April was a rude and unfriendly associate and not helpful at all. Very discouraging and did not even greet the future bride. I would not buy anything from them. Did not even attempt to help just told everyone to look around!

I called a few months ago when my husband received orders making us have to cancel our wedding. I called and asked about any chance of returning my dress and they said for these circumstances, yes. But to call when the store opens back up. So I did, and the manager Jeremiah I spoke to was extremely rude and laughed when I said how long ago I bought my dress because it has to be within 14 days. I had an appointment for my bridesmaids to try on dresses. I called beforehand to find out about the rules and regulations regarding COVID. They informed me that my entire party could come but not to bring any others. I brought the party in and they told me that only two could come in at a time (we had 8) and that the others had to wait in the car.
