I went to David’s Bridal today to pick up my Maid of Honor Dress. I walked in to the store and three white saleswomen were standing there, one on the phone at the podium and the other two were talking. The two looked my way but never stopped talking to one another nor greeted me. But as another white woman came in after me they made sure to greet her and even ask if she needed their help! Every time I’ve been to this business, I have encountered rude and/or untrained employees. As a bridesmaid in two weddings, I was not the one choosing where to shop. In the future, I will not recommend this location to anyone getting married. Hopefully this is not the etiquette at all David’s Bridal stores. I’ve had employees who are “helping” the party just up and disappear without a word, while we are left to fend for ourselves. My sister and I were in there today looking for bridesmaids dresses for my wedding in September. We were assigned to Josephine. So disappointing. The women who helped me find my dress, was the sweetest little lady in the whole world. I loved her. Which leads up to alterations. A complete disaster. The dress was too big, but instead of taking it in, they just built up the top with two sets of thick cups. I had a terrible experience at David’s Bridal today while picking out a bridesmaid dress. The attendant, Michele, was rude, dismissive, unavailable, and made it an awful experience for me. She also took my measurements without asking first, which is very uncomfortable- a stranger should always be asking for consent to touch another person, especially a customer. I recently just purchased my wedding dress and a ridiculous amount headband from David’s bridal over a week ago. I received an email saying my moms dress was ready for pick up, and I thought that would be a an easy way for me to return the headband that the associate who was helping me PRESSURED me into buying. My sister is getting married. She waited 40 years to find the perfect man. The stylest she had was horrible. She was actually mean. She told us we were being too boisterous.
