I did buy my dress at David's Bridal, thinking I was getting a good deal, price-wise. I was shocked to find out that my fitting would cost $475!!! Why? Because my dress was considered "coutoure" (Vera Wang). I was really upset with this as I don't think the sales people were upfront with the cost differential in buying a Vera Wang dress at DB. I had a terrible experience at the David's Bridal store in Burlington, WA. When I made my appointment, I was directed to their website to pick my favourite dresses. I asked twice if this would ensure that the dresses would be there for me to try on, because I was travelling for 6 hours to get to the store. Twice I was told that yes, if I picked my favourites, they would be there for me to try on. Once I got to the store, a consultant didn't even speak to me until an hour after my appointment time. This place is horrible!! They were rude not only to me but to my family. first i waited 15 minutes at the desk for someone to show up to help me. They tryed to slip in expensive stuff on your bill without your approval. they sent my dress to the wrong place!! it cost me 250 to alter my dress because they didnt tell me another store had the size i needed only 30 min away from me. Horrible experience! The consultant was 0 help. We picked our own dresses off the shelf and found our own dressing room. I even helped my bridesmaid zip and remove her dresses. The consultant came by at one point when we had already decided to leave. AND I had had an appointment ! I should have listened to the reviews! They have a bad reputation for a reason. Don't waste your time.

Terrible experiences are guaranteed at the David's Bridal in Richfield, MN! I have never written a bad review about anything until now and my main reason for doing this is to warn and educated every bride-to-be about a potential nightmare experience. After arriving a few minutes early for our appointment, we were told that we were not in the books for an appointment. After waiting for almost 30 minutes, we were appointed a not-so-classy consultant who was busy with 2 other brides. So needless to say, we did alot more waiting... read more

I picked out my dress while I was at home visiting my mom and sisters. I couldn't order the dress there and have it delivered to my local store in San Diego, so I had to wait till I got back here to order it.It came in faster than they said it would. I'm very happy with my dress. They were able to make appointments that fit my schedule for the fittings/alterations, which was important b/c I had a destination wedding. Davids Bridal is the worst! Today I went for my fitting. I was waiting for the store to open holding my wedding gown. When they finally opened the door it was a mad rush for all those waiting to get inside. At no time was I asked if I needed any assistance in getting my gown on. There were no chair for my 72 year old mother to sit. The store was chaos. There was absolutely no privacy. I was not able to understand what the woman who was altering my gown was saying. Nobody goes to David's Bridal expecting five star service. You go there for the convenience and the prices. I did most of my research online before I selected 3 dresses I wanted to try on at David's Bridal. I ended up loving one of them and choosing it as my dress. It is a beautiful dress, and I got many compliments on it. I loved the price - there was one I loved that was very similar and found in other bridal stores for 5 times the price.
