Buying a dress there is fine. But the alterations department just wants your money and doesn’t want to do anything you want done to your dress. Each time I asked for something to be done to my dress, they had to “think it over” or ask someone else in the department. Not to mention, they told me the back of my dress “looked fine” when my corset was clearly hanging out the back of it. all of my appointments there were double booked, we even tried rescheduling after standing around waiting for an hour and still was double booked, we finally get 3 bridesmaids dresses ordered, when they came in we scheduled an alteration appointment, which again was double booked, we had to stand there and wait for another customer to be fitted. one of the bridesmaids dresses was the wrong dress. we was told the alterations would be $210+tax which is absolutely insane since we only paid $130 for the dress. we then talked to ... read more
a few months ago i visited here and everything was going against us. covid, scheduling, and the power went out! Connie, was a dream though. she worked with us through it all. she helped me find the dress i’d never even thought about, honestly. she helped me “bling it out”. she found a gorgeous belt accessory and an incredible veil to match every detail. my girls all found the most beautiful bridesmaids dresses and their own belts to sew in. i couldn’t have had a more memorable day here. It was the worst experience I have ever had in a store. The girl that was assigned to us (Noelle) seemed too pushy. She rushed us around. Couldn’t even go out and look through the dresses ourselves really without her freaking out because we touched something (stupid Covid). Then 2 of my bridesmaids found their dresses, which was great, but one needed a larger size. they just screwed over the maid of honor of my daughters wedding. the wedding was postponed due to Covid 19 and she no longer can be a part of the wedding. she was not able to pick up the dress that was bought, but they will not give her any money back. we will never go there again.
My best friend put her wedding dress on layaway a few months ago. She has it more than halfway payed off but due to the virus she has no income now so she is struggling to find money to pay the rest before the deadline. She called and spoke to a very rude customer service rep to explain her situation and they just told her it’s policy and threatened to take her dress off of layaway. This is ridiculous and I think David’s Bridal should be more understanding considering the current situation of the world right now.
I understand that places were not prepared to close for Covid-19, but I would appreciate more respect after spending a large amount on my wedding dress and alterations. Because of the store closure, my dress was shipped to my house in a Home Depot box. My dress was left on my porch, no requirement for signing to receive my package. It's raining out, thankfully it's my day off and the box was not on my porch left out to the rain for too long. There wasn't even any plastic protecting my dress from the weather. The shopping experience was wonderful, sadly though when my son’s wedding was unexpectedly canceled, the service stopped there. I called the store to see about getting the order stopped. The girl on the phone told me it was not a problem, to bring the original receipt, the preservation kit that was purchased and the original form of payment and I would receive a full refund.
