I got my first apartment down here with them. Raised prices ridiculously, never did any maintenance work. So many issues. Showed up unannounced, 90% of the time I was in bed or whatnot. Terrible company. Have no respect for their tenants.
Wow where to start. I wasn't going to even say a word because I like Justin, Coco, Al, Benard and Fox but man oh man there is line somewhere. Tenants and I in the building we live in are constantly getting new rules every single week. One person tells us its ok to do this another threatens evictions if we do that. When it comes to screwing over working class people they are gifted amateurs. They should get into politics if they want to go pro.
I love my apartment, HOWEVER, I very unfortunately just had my first serious maintenance issue with Dean & Dewitt, and boy have they disappointed in their management of it. I came home on Friday night to find that none of my power outlets were functioning- no appliances, no wifi, etc. I promptly called the issue out to the maintenance line to hear that the answering service could not get ahold of the electrician. Take pictures they will take your money. We spent two days cleaning after we moved out and they claimed they had to do heavy cleaning. They claimed pet damage to carpet my dog died one month after move in. Things that were damaged when we moved in they charged us for. Do not even bother cleaning they will charge you anyway.
This property management company is a scammer. My boyfriend rented a less than glorious one bedroom apt across from Northwest park in St. Pete. He was in a transition. Anyway, we spent little time there and kept the apt minimally furnished. Needless to say we didn't live much in it to make any negative impression. On moving out day, I was determined to leave the apt better, and cleaner, than when we moved in. I personally cleamed the entire apt. Scrubbing even the walls and floors. I called Erica several times about a house we wanted to rent.
