DeWayne has been a favorite store of mine for about 10 yrs.. whenever I wanted to get away and chill out I,would take a long drive to DeWaynes. Then go in and browse! Today was the first time to see the new renovations. What a shock!!!. The store has changes radically. Things change I,realize and this may be a good move for them but I miss the other store a lot. Maybe I,will get used to the new store but it's just not the same!!!! I won't go as often as I did . It's lost its homey charm.
My boyfriend and I were there last weekend. He bought at Pandora. The lady there was nice, but when I checked out myself at the counter with a plant, the customer service was horrible. The girl was very unpleasant and then when she finished cashing me out... I was like, can I have a bag for the plant "I'm traveling" huffs and throws a bag at me.... and this is not the first time I've had bad experience here...Don't know why I keep going back??? Such a beautiful place with ugly attitudes!

Needs to works on customer service. The ladies in the boutique were asked to help with sizing and kept bring sizes too small because it looked big. The outdoor garden area was full of employees but most of the teen/twenty year olds were talking, not working, didn't offer to help, and knew nothing about the store when asked. It took me 15 minutes to get someone to take down an item off the top shelf. Pricing is varied higher with regards to area stores. Plants are excellent quality.

Drove 10 hrs from Florida to visit family in Raleigh for weekend. One reason for visiting was to drive to DeWayne's to visit their new Christmas section. I had seen the new section being setup in November. The Christmas section was to be open all year. But what a waste, Christmas land was not open. I asked several staff and they just said it was closed. They did not know anything about it ever being open all year. Hi James I'm so sorry you drove all the way from FL to visit us and left disappointed. I double checked our website & social media and we aren't currently promoting Christmas Land. However I did find customer photos on our Google page of Christmas Land from last year. I will update the Google site to include Christmas Land opening fall of 2017 to prevent confusion. Not the same place it was before the remodel, and it's unfortunate. I used to look forward to going to Dewaynes as it was a nice place to visit from Raleigh. I decided to check out the newly remodeled store and was greatly disappointed. No one offered help, the place was completely picked over, and the once quaint store has turned into a I-95 tourist trap. After looking for an hour, nothing appealed to me and left empty handed. My mother and I visited today and it is defiantly not the same place it used to be. They had samples of food where the boutique is being finished and open to construction dust in the food (gross). We encountered several rude staff associates as if they were now too good to even say hello, are you finding everything ok? Or can I help you!?
