Software Needs Work and Company Needs To Simplify Location of User's Manual and Put Instructions in Box. The scanner by itself is a good, however, where it needs work is the software. Had some trouble with OSX I couldn't get my computer to recognize it as a normal scanner. So I had to use the Brother software from their website to do all of the scanning. It works well enough, but don't expect miracles.
Great Scanner and super fast, too Brother DS-620 scanner was recommended to me by a friend who couldn't say enough about it. IT IS wonderful: it's easy and the scanned documents are perfect. I am doing a huge revamping of old photo books and this little scanner is amazing.

Good product. does the job This scanner is fine. It does the job. It scans receipts of various sizes, generally without problems. There is a length limit (maybe 16 inches) that seems to me to be an unnecessary software limit. It means that grocery receipts need to be cut into shorter pieces and then recombined with PaintShop (or some such). But otherwise, no complaints. scanner Works great but in order to get defined copies of what you've scanned you must save it to your computer first. That's the only reason it did not score 5 out of 5.
Works Well with a Lot of Options I really like this little scanner. It is fast and gives a good quality image. There are a lot of options as to output as well.
Wish I could give it 5 stars... This scanner works well, but only if you use the feeder sheet that comes with it. It kind of changes the color, but it's quick, portable, and easy to use. If it didn't jam up every time I try to just feed a piece of paper through to scan, I would give this unit a 5 star rating.
Not a bad scanner, but recommended software stinks The scanner installation and operation went pretty smoothly. It would be more useful if there was an option to tilt the output slot to point up instead of just back. But with the help of some scrap cardboard, I've got it situated in a convenient place and position and am really enjoying the convenience of this handy scanner as opposed to jumping up all the time to put a document on my flatbed scanner.
