I worked with Ben and I feel the interaction was not as good as I wish it would have been. The processes was riddled with issues. While they did discount my charges, it still did not make up for the issues. Up to the point of signing paperwork I still did not my cash to close nor did I ha e an explanation of the charges. I wish this process could have been better.

Initiated application for refi back in Oct ‘20 with a loan officer that we had used in past. Due to high volume, we were told it would take a while. By beginning of Feb, I call to see if a closing date has been set yet only to find out our loan officer has left the company. Our account is then turned over to Dustin and finally closed on 2/17/21! Dustin handled things well once he got our account but we didn’t appreciate not being informed of change & length of time it took to close.

I was very disappointed with the lack of communication until I called and complained. It seemed that we were left in the dark and wondering where we were standing. I don’t recall being told how long the refi would take but did not expect it to take 8 weeks. It was rather smooth when we talk about paperwork and what was required from us. I did call in and Dustin answered his own phone, not a secretary. That impressed me!

Based on our experience with San Diego Nova Home Loan officer Kurt Branstetter, we went with Nova for our Nevada home purchase. Unfortunately there was no similarity at all between the two. I am writing this because I received multiple emails asking why I have not taken the survey.

If Dustin's team was competent, not a single one on his team knew anything about what was going on, if they had a single representative to send and receive emails to instead of 4-5 different people emailing daily. That's just a small portion of the issue. This has been the most stressful and unappealing milestone event that I've ever experienced. I will bad mouth the entire Nova business until the day I die.
