Without belaboring the details, I bought the insurance and submitted a claim about two weeks later. The claim wasn't process for THREE MONTHS; therefore, I missed the 30 day cancellation window. Then the company determines, based on my pet's records, that she showed symptoms of a disease that was later diagnosed. This* ***** * ***** *******. I've filed a complaint with my state insurance regulator.

Embrace Pet Insurance is literally the worst pet insurance company I have ever had the unfortunate displeasure of dealing with! I have been denied several claims due to what the company believes are "preexisting conditions" for both of my dogs, even though I have provided proof on letter head via my Vet each time and most recently a police report due to someone injuring 1 of my dogs. I have had other pet insurances the since 2014, but recently signed up ( Fall of 2019) with Embrace due to cheaper costs or so I thought. Every... read more

Consumer beware. They will take every little issue you mention to your veterinarian and slap a pre-existing condition onto it to exclude everything that may possibly relate to it from your policy. They excluded dental disease because our dog had plaque. They also excluded ALL dermatological conditions because our dog has allergies. Choose a company that won't use minor issues to deny your claims!

You cant get them on the phone to get a quote...what's it like once they get your money???? I cant give a negative star, otherwise I would.

I would give negative stars if I could. Like other 1 star reviews on this site, I had the same experience. I have two dogs, one super healthy, one with some congenital issues we never expected to have covered by insurance. We got a policy for both of them because we were concerned about them aging and hoped insurance would help with some of the routine trials that come with dogs. The occasional diarrhea and vomiting they sometimes get or any skin issues or ear infections. Routine stuff. I purchased a policy in August 2019, a... read more

My Pomeranian got Embrace Pet Insurance and her coverage began in mid-January 2019. At the beginning of April she had blood work done because I wanted to make sure she was fit to travel before I spent $6k to move her with me to Australia. Her blood tests came back normal, but her gallbladder levels were elevated and the vet suggested we do an ultrasound to determine the diagnosis. This is a scam! If your dog has had any visit to the vet/ they will find a way to connect any condition and say it is preexisting

Dear **friends, My pet insurance with Pet Embrace was cancelled due to an error on their part and now they are not wanting to re-instate the policy. See, my mom has always had Embrace and never missed a payment in 12+ years. She had me and Ella for 11 years and never had any issues. In May she received an email stating the card didn’t go thru and changed it. Then in August they stated it didn’t go thru and had it changed again. Hi *****, I am so sorry we weren't able to reinstate your policy, we appealed to our underwriters and did everything we could. We have a two day reinstatement period after a policy is cancelled, and since it had been five months since your cancellation, they weren't able to make an exception. We might have had a chance if it had just been a month, or if there was an attempt to update billing in the five months that the policy was cancelled, but unfortunately, we got a solid no when we asked.
