Embrace's 30-day cancellation policy is an absolute sham. I requested a medical history review less than 2 weeks after I signed - up. I didn't get it for almost 3 months later and surprise, surprise! Absolutely every symptom of his is listed as a preexisting condition. So therefore, the policy is useless to me and now I have paid 3 months into it (estimated $180). They have a 15 business days waiting period for first time claims, but for me has been a full month including weekends and haven’t heard from them . When I check my claim process it says IS PENDING FOR MEDICAL HISTORY since first week , contacted them a couple times but they have excuses for everything so I don’t need this. I guess is a lazy company.
STAY AWAY! Claims are never approved, even when you have submitted all of the ridiculous paperwork they require from the vet - they even do their best to ruin that vet/client relationship if they can with their constant requests for client history for something so simple as an ear infection. We paid $1200 into the policy over the course of a year, and the only claim that was approved was for $163 - one cycle of ComboGuard - and that took 3 weeks to pay out. Upon canceling my policy, at renewal, fairly good customer service stopped. At the 10 day period from canceling I was told they wait 7 days to issue a refund. On day 10 the refund was FINALLY issued and I was told my money would be returned to my account 2-3 days after this...today is day 3 and there is no money yet. I have also not been provided with the requested policy that states there is a 7 day waiting period.
I've had a police with Embrace for almost 4 years. For the first 3 years I would have given them a 5 star. Everything was great. I recommended them to many people. But the past 8 months it's like the entire company changed. Claims are always messed up. It takes them 3 weeks to get around to even start to process a claim.
