I had a different company prior to Embrace for 12 years never had to contact them once.Embrace I’m constantly on the phone with them when I put in a claim. They requested the same documents over and over. They reviewed docs and said not covered, yea because that was under the old company and you asked for the medical records for that procedure. That was not the claim I put in. I could go on and on with my complaints. Customer service people are sweet but it’s hard to talk to a claims person directly. Only had them since Janu... read more

Hello, I am sorry to hear that you are not happy with your Embrace policy. I see that a medical history review was requested for your pets after your policy was purchased. At the end of your 14-day illness waiting period, a request was sent out for each pets medical records. It did take quite a bit of time to receive all the records for the veterinary hospitals, once all the records were received, we were able to complete the medical history review for each pet. After the review was completed, the pending claims were process... read more
Embrace is fraudulent in its business practices. It’s all too happy to collect premiums but when you submit claims, it takes well over 1-2 months to receive a response and the response is 100% “claim on hold pending more information”. They perpetuate fraud on their customers by failing to apply the policy guidelines z
I do not recommend this insurance. After paying over a year and a half of premiums they denied my claim stating pre existing conditions which was completely false. Don’t waste your money. Save it and pay yourself.

Hello, I apologize for your dissatisfaction with your policy. Unfortunately, as it is listed in the policies terms and conditions, any abnormalities that are noted within the 12-months prior to the policy start are deemed a pre-existing condition. As Haley was noted to have a mass on her lower back prior to the policy purchase, it was made a pre-existing condition. There were no diagnostics completed on this mass at the time it was first noted so all masses were excluded from coverage. Haley was seen multiple times for a rec... read more
After using Embrace for 2 years, I finally filed my first claim a few weeks back. I now understand their business model. They are very helpful until your pet gets sick and it comes time for them to pay any money, at which point they will make the process as complicated as possible, in the hopes that you do not follow through with the claim. Here is the process to get your pet healthy using Embrace... 1. Print a physical copy of the pre-approval form 2. Schedule a vet visit and have them fill out the form by hand. 3. Scan the... read more

Hello, I am sorry if there was any confusion with your policy. I am unable to locate your policy under the last name provided, but I would be happy to explain the claims routine. When a policy is first purchased, there is a 14-day illness waiting period and a 6-month orthopedic waiting period. Once the end of the 14-day illness waiting period is reached, an email is sent out explaining that a medical history review can be requested to determine if there are any pre-existing conditions, if one is not requested, Embrace will n... read more
I've had my dogs covered for 3 years. My youngest was covered when I brought him home from the breeder at 2 months. He had his annual wellness visit, got the orthopedic waiver completed, and didn't see another vet until he ended up developing luxating patella 10 months later and had surgery. I've been waiting over a month now for Embrace to review the claim for a dog that literally should be the easiest scenario to review. ONE vet visit that had their waiver signed. They claim they requested records that my vet never receive... read more

I am in the process of submitting a claim for my dog. I have had Embrace for a few years without any claims. In 02/19 my dog had licked her elbow and back hock raw. She was diagnosed with Lick Granulomas. Which is caused by skin a skin irritation from allergies, body reaction or just plain boredom. We put her on a antibotic and used an ointment, kept her from licking it anylonger and it healed up. We did not need to have anything else done. As the antibiotic and ointment resolved it. She gets allergies about twice a year now... read more

Hello, I am very sorry to hear that you have not been happy with your Embrace policy. After looking at your policy, I see that we are currently in the process of setting up an appeal for *****’s recent claims. Unfortunately, ***** was noted to have thickened tissue on her right rear hock that was listed as a possible lick granuloma, cancer, or other. In the medical records we have for *****, there are no diagnostics for this thickened area of skin. As this abnormality was noted prior to *****’s policy start date, it was list... read more

This company is a joke. ALL dermatological conditions are "pre-existing," so since my dog was treated for allergies within 12 months, his ear infection wasn't covered. It took them 2 months to process my claim only to deny because of this. I cancelled coverage and requested a refund for the last two months as well since I waited that long for the response, and they wouldn't oblige. Bad business, bad coverage, waste of money. Just pay your vet when you need. Don't waste your time and money here.

BUYER BEWARE! Embrace is not the same company they once were. They used to be awesome - but not anymore. Due to recent issues even my veterinarian is not willing to recommend them further. Embrace will find any technicality to exclude anything from the policy, especially if it is a long term care issue. In our case, cancer. They weaseled their way out of the policy. We have multiple cats on our policy. We adopted a cat in March of 2020. Due to COVID, we did not enroll one of them until May. We submitted all of the paperwork ... read more
