Get directionsMy mother is supposed to receive PT and OT in her apt. She suffered a stroke this summer, and was at Elizabeth Seton Rehab (highly recommend!) for several months where she made great progress . Since her discharge 5 weeks ago, she has had a total of only 6 visits combined from Encompass' OT and PT She was prescribed 2-3 sessions of OT and 2-3 sessions of PT weekly, but in 5 weeks, she has been seen a total of 6 times. That is deplorable! On top of that, I am the health proxy and neither the OT nor the PT have called me or my... read more
Here as outpatient, hoping beyond hope that they can help with my aches and pains! Promptness is very important to me. When I show up 15 minutes early for an appointment I would like to be seen the time I was given and not have me wait an additional 10 minutes. I'm here because of a sever concoction, my head hurts all the time. The one thing which bothers me about here very much is when a patient is being released from the hospital above, they play the rocky song very loud over the intercom. This is like drilling in my head.... read more
The outpatient physical therapy has been excellent for me for several problems (arms, knees, feet). All of the staff I've encountered have useful, gradual, well-considered methods for recovering from soreness and/or injury. They are great for becoming active again. However, their billing can take months and they use a lousy contract firm in Alabama to process their bills (in 2015 and 2016). Instead of getting smaller, periodic bills, I get hit with large bills for like ten visits and it's due for payment very quickly. ... read more
Not a good experience. This facility had a good reputation but it appears that multiple switches in ownership have taken their toll on the quality of care.
My mother was a patient at the very new Beverly facility. It is clean and attractive and the staff are very pleasant. The food seems to be good. Those are the positives. HOWEVER...They are incredibly short staffed. On one of the shifts there were four nurses and no aides for at least 15 patients. I overheard the nurses saying they should call the state. The call buttons were on constantly. The staff were stressed and unable to stay on top of the patients needs. They were told they would get more staff when there were more p... read more
Avoid this place if possible...if it's unavoidable, visit as often as possible and stay on top of things for your loved one...as they staff certainly won't! Unfortunately due to the lack of facilities that provide Acute Rehabilitation, this was where my grandmother had to go after having suffered a stroke. I would never recommend this place to anyone!!! They do not take very good care of the patients. When the patients press the nurse call buttons, you can hear the things go on and on, while they all sit at the nurses st... read more
I will only comment on their Adaptive Drive Program. For $450.00 you receive no value or deliverable that could be remotely seen as a deliverable value. You cannot use their recommendation to acquire hand controls, the MA DMV does not recognise their recommendation nor any installers through out all of New England. They are 100% deceptive on what their program offers at the end. You want to waste 450 bucks, please take their 3 hour 2 day course, rip-off.
It is not a good time to be working at New England Rehabilitation. New owners came in on January 1, 2014 and made huge layoffs. They say the measurable patient results are holding strong but that doesn't include patient satisfaction which needs more time to collect data. It's not a good time to work at NERH due to poor benefits, pay, and morale but I think that things will level off and the work environment quality may improve which can lift morale and then personal satisfation. This can help the low pay, weak benefits... read more
Warning...do not go here for a Functional Capacity Exam the only therapist who does them completely messed mine up. She took a month and a half to get the report to me and when it finally came the report had my name on it but the results were for someone else! After much back and forth, calling the corporate office, speaking with managers, etc. she finally figured out she put another patients test results on my report. She really caused me a lot of headaches and barely apologized when she finally figured out her mistake.
