i just wish i had read these reveiws prior to my family members admittance. I also wish I had had information about rehab choices as we were led to beleive this facility was connected with the original hosipital and they had to go here. stupid me.

Nearly killed my father. Drs don't care and the directors are just as bad. Sadly the nurses hands are tied. They did try to help and were genuinely concerned and compassionate. Don't take a chance w your loved ones. I'd rate zero stars but you have to give at least 1 to post your review.

My wife went from Deer Valley hospital straight to acute rehabilitation at Encompass, thinking this was the best strategy for her. I found the good, the bad, and the ugly at Encompass. The good: food and overall encironment. The bad: therapy is unknown because I could not go with my wife to view actual therapy. There was, supposedly, a flu outbreak. This is supposed to be an intense therapy environment for those needing considerable rehabilitation, like my wife, who could not walk or communicate after a fall. I saw no signif... read more

My wife went from Deer Valley hospital straight to acute rehabilitation at Encompass, thinking this was the best strategy for her. I found the good, the bad, and the ugly at Encompass. This was a bad experience for my husband (patient) and myself. My husband had spinal surgery and spent 2.5 agonizing weeks in Encompass. All the therapists are very good to excellent. Support and care staff were not good. My husband was shipped to downtown Phx. to a dr.'s appt from Encompass. He was left in a wheelchair in the waiting area for 6 hours. He had no wallet, no phone, and no one with him. The appt had been canceled a couple of days prior to this incident, and Encompass neglected to cancel it in their system. And... read more

Do not send a loved one to Encompass Health - especially if they are elderly or have hearing difficulties. Biggest mistake of my life. She weighed 122 pounds before surgery and blew up to 150 in a matter of days, I told everyone that her dosage of Lasik was incorrect and requested a weight check every morning - they did it only 3 times (it never got better) and ignored the fact that she clearly had edema and abdominal with lung congestion.. Her attending doctor at honorhealthosborn ended up being the same one at Encompass.... read more
