Energy Aid has been working out of a branch office in Chandler, AZ. They came to my home in Apache Junction, AZ for $299 to evaluate my system that had recently stopped working. They surveyed the system and wrote out a detailed list of things that needed to be done and estimated $3400. I thought that was exorbitant, when the problem started with a blown inverter, which was under warranty from Solar Edge. They wanted to do a site map, which was already in place until they deleted it to make sure I would have to hire them. ... read more

Business response:

Hi John, thanks for taking the time to speak with us about your experience. As we discussed, your manufacturer unfortunately made a clerical error when your new installer placed the RMA. We worked to get the return label in order to return the replacement through the appropriate channels, but incurred an exorbitant delay. We can confirm that no member of our team ever (or would ever) delete a portion of your system site visibility. Regarding you not being able to see your system currently. We'd highly recommend that you chec... read more

Send a professional that can fix the system that we have been paying for, more than a year. It's still not functional. I'm paying Edison as well. What's the purpose of having solar that has NEVER worked. Next payment will be to retain a lawyer

Business response:

Hi, Donna, apologies for the confusion and for any inconveniences you are encountering with your solar provider, however we (EnergyAid) are not your solar provider. Additionally, we can confirm that we have not received any payment from you. We have however, provided services to you on behalf of the direct request of your solar provider. Unfortunately, we are only able to do so upon their request (since you are not our direct customer). We'd love to connect with you and explain the dynamic of this matter further. Please be o... read more

In Glendale AZ our solar panels quit. SRP, the electric co thought the inverter was out (the warranty would have covered that). But Alex from Energyraid said it was not the inverter. They wanted to send a second inspector (an additional $2000 beyond the first $299) with no guarantee he'd find the problem. We decided to cut our losses. Now, another company has told us the problem is, in fact the inverter--and for two visits of $260 each we are having the repair done.

Business response:

Hi James, we regret to learn about the experience you had, however we are unable locate your file in order to see what could have been done better. Please feel free to reach out to discuss this further at (877) 787-0607 so that we can assess all related variables further. However, depending on what the issue is that is presenting, there are appropriate steps that must be taken to ensure that the pathway of recommendation actually triangulates and resolves the issue. We are hopeful that the remedy provided by the other compan... read more

I contacted Energy Aid because SunPower went bankrupt and no longer support their solar installation customers. Their technician Pascal came out and provided a detailed comprehensive report with the following issues: 1. Inverter displaying Error Code 1302 (no power to inverter). 2. PVS6 green led off at arrival. 3. Monitoring system power piggy backed using inverter terminals. 4. Production current transformer located in inverter housing. The following repairs were recommended: a. Replace defective 25-amp main circuit... read more

Business response:

Hi R, thanks for the feedback. After checking your file, we have confirmed that the nature of the additional materials quoted were due to an arc fault that we found onsite. Due to this, and in order to ensure that our repair was integral, we do not simply replace the breaker and leave the same wiring as you run the risk of having breaker issues or additional hazards assuming that there is exposed or compromised wiring. We apologize for any inconveniences, but can assure you that we were not attempting to scam you, quite the ... read more
